Trusting relationships and connections are vital to the success and performance of any organisation. With ‘disruptive change’ being today’s normality, these can be among the first things to come under strain.

In order to absorb complex change while continuing to build and maintain effective relationships, we all need resilience.

This masterclass will use cutting-edge research and tools that can be used in both your professional and personal lives, helping you to be you, brilliantly!

During the session you will learn:

  • Some of the ‘secrets’ of positive psychology, focusing on developing new ways of thinking and behaviours that will sustain personal ‘brilliance’
  • Why it is important to have trusting and positive relationships and connections, and how to build and maintain these
  • How Better Start Bradford is supporting knowledge exchange and sharing its own experiences around relationship building

About our speakers:

Dr Andy Cope, Art of Brilliance
Andy Cope is a qualified teacher, author and learning junkie. He is UK’s first ‘Doctor of Happiness’ (yes, really!) having completed a PhD in Positive Psychology at Loughborough University.  He is also a best-selling author; he writes the ‘Brilliant’ range of self-help books for adults and teenagers, and also pens the successful children’s ‘Spy Dog’ series for Puffin.

Andy’s done numerous TV and radio appearances. He has also set up the hugely successful 2%ers club, the UK’s first, foremost and…err…only society for happy people.

Gill Thornton, Head of Programme, Better Start Bradford
Gill Thornton is Head of Programme at Better Start Bradford. As one of the people involved in Better Start Bradford from its conception, she knows all too well how vital it is to have solid relationships in place to enable such a complex programme to exist and thrive.
