Get involved in....

Our Parents in the Lead activities fund is designed to help parents run activities for families expecting babies or with children under four, in the Better Start Bradford area. You can apply once a year for a maximum of £2,000 to fund your activity. 11 projects have been funded so far this year and the next deadline for applications is 31 August.

Our proudest moments....

The search is back on to find Bradford’s ‘Community Stars’ working with pregnant families or families with children under four.

For the second year, Better Start Bradford has teamed up with the Telegraph & Argus Community Stars Awards to present the ‘Early Years’ Community Star Award category, which recognises volunteers who go the extra mile working with families in the Better Start Bradford area.

Nominations must be made by 25 September 2017.

Our part of Bradford

We believe in our local area and the people that live here. Better Start Bradford’s projects cover three Bradford wards: Bowling & Barkerend, Bradford Moor and Little Horton.

But we also want to share learnings more widely, so much information on this site is relevant to families and professionals elsewhere.
